Kurt S

Born in Mannheim, Germany, immigrating to the United States in 1950, Kurt grew up in Georgia, graduating from the University of Georgia. Following his graduation he served 6 years in the US Army before teaching social science and coaching for 6 and receiving his Masters Degree.

He has been a Teacher, Sunday School Director and has served as Camp Activities Director for a YMCA camp in New Hampshire.

He has performed as a speaker, trainer, musician and entertainer for 20 years. His instruments include harmonica, guitar, autoharp, dulcimer and banjo. He has appeared in the movie, "Go Tell It on the Mountain" featuring Paul Winfield and "Night Shadows" featuring Wings Hauser.

 

 

Kurt regularly performs as a guitar/ vocalist for private and corporate functions. In addition to his musical abilities, Kurt offers a Mark Twain show. Performing in character, Kurt offers an unusual approach to depicting Twain’s wit and wisdom through humorous stories, gestures and songs. As Mr. Twain, he talks about his life in Hannibal, Missouri, the history of southern music and the riverboat era and demonstrates the banjo, guitar, autoharp and dulcimer.
