“Shimr, America’s most popular show band has been captivating and delighting audiences across the country & internationally since 2000. This dynamic powerhouse recently wowed an audience of 85,000 at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park on July 4th. Additionally Shimr has just completed an international tour of 5 continents entertaining our active duty military personnel world wide thru Armed Forces Entertainment via the Department of Defense. The band plays the very best dance and party music spanning the big band and jazz standards of the 1940’s right thru 2007’s top hits! Whether it’s the crooning of old “blue eyes”, the great Motown hits of the 1960’s, disco from the 1970’s, 1980’s dance or the best popular Grammy winners from this year, Shimr does it all with energy and enthusiasm. The band’s tight rhythm section is punctuated by the hottest horn section in the south and toped off with exceptional lead vocals and rich harmonies. All this is coupled with energetic dancing and colorful theme costumes making this a must see show for all ages. This world class band, made up of some of Atlanta's best musical talent, has shared the stage with such major artists as Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Boyz-II-Men, Cindy Wilson of The B-52's, The Pointer Sisters, Olivia Newton-John, Aaron Neville and Diana Ross just to name a few. Shimr has also been significant in fund raising activities for Alzheimer’s, C.U.R.E., Habitat for Humanity, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Atlanta Police Foundation, Spinal Shepard, The Marcus Institute and many other worthwhile causes.”
